Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council
The Kirklees team are focusing on the evaluation of a walking project to encourage pedestrian journeys within Littletown and Mill Bridge in Kirklees.
The aim is to encourage and increase the volume of pedestrian journeys to local services and facilities. They are discussing current walking behaviour with members of the community and identifying any barriers. Improvements needed to encourage walking will be assessed by the community.
The tool will help to establish a baseline of behaviour, including the specific focus of walking behaviour. After engaging the community in identifying and taking action on improvements needed, the tool will be used to re-evaluate whether participants have altered their behaviour.
