Sustainable design and construction
The central role of the built environment in achieving sustainable development is increasingly recognised by policy makers and practitioners alike. In recent years, CAG have developed an impressive track record in the field of sustainable design and construction, drawing particularly on the team’s expertise in areas such as planning, energy, climate change and stakeholder involvement.
Our approach is holistic, recognising the importance of economic, social and environmental considerations in the design and construction process. We are fully conversant with the national policy context, including the Sustainable Communities Plan and the government’s planning reforms, and with the tools to support sustainable design, such as BREEAM, EcoHomes and the Lifetime Homes Standard.
